Green and white wedding at Shalimar Villa, Canggu

The decoration idea was inspired by a previous event but with a slightly different touch in some area. The ceremony pergola was made of bamboo poles draped with fabric on the side and top. The table set up was a long table instead of a round one. The runner from the dinner table was burlap instead of a white brocade runner. They were more lights and candles and they fixed round paper lantern above the dinner area. Similar but still different….. No two weddings are the same after all.  You should bring your identity to your event & claim it your own!

Private wedding at villa in Ketewel

The wedding planner came to me and requested to have white roses and green hydrangeas as the main flowers. She informed me that the wedding was going to be small and intimate, only attended by close family. So they just needed personal flower, one arch for the ceremony, some flower centerpieces for one long dinner table consisting of 14 people, a flower arrangement for their welcome board and candles on the pool and at the dinner area as an ambiance lighting.

Ceremony was held in the afternoon, on the black sandy beach of Ketewel. We put this arch made out from the flower mixtures of white roses, green hydrangeas with dried twigs and branches. Flower aisle was scattered with Plumeria that is also known as frangipani. And the flower showers were pink rose petals that we kept inside small rattan baskets.

Posy style of bridal bouquets were a mixture of the main flower with a dash of baby's breaths. We matched her groom's boutonniere likewise.

The long table was decorated with four centerpieces that were mixtures of their main flowers and wild berries. The catering provided table runners and flower napkins for the guest. As for the pool, we arranged 20 pieces of single floating candles that we had divided into three lines.

White wedding with vintage touch at Villa Mary, Canggu

Thanks heaps for Tracy from Bali Bliss Weddings for sharing those beautiful pictures with me. I was so excited when I received them that I couldn’t help staying late at night to write so I can post them on my blog this morning.

It’s been a while since I posted anything as it has been been a hectic month for me. Sorry for the delay, guys! I have been working on some other projects aside from flowers and it has been quite difficult to keep up. Although I can't promise that I won't do it again but at least you have to know that I will try my best not to delay post :-).

This time, the bride wanted white for her wedding and I had to complement the beauty of villa Mary in Canggu with a touch of vintage theme. We decided to use white roses, succulents, queen anne’s laces, spider mums and white chrysanthemums as the flowers.

The ceremony was taking place on the existing gazebo of the villa and we just decorated it with drapes of white chiffon and some flowers on top of the gazebo. Trailing ivy leaves was added so it wouldn’t look so stiff. On the cocktail table, we arranged green spider mums individually in small glass jars. Dinner table was toped with white laces, three kind of flower arrangements inside varied types and sizes of glasses and vases, tea light votive candles and blackboard table number.

I also want to share pictures that I took with my digital pocket camera.

Blue turquoise vase centerpieces

I enjoy working on a new project and lately we have been asked to do a centerpiece with a blue turquoise vase and hot pink, pink and vivid green flowers. So we used our glass bottles and jars together with hot pink roses, pink snapdragons, pink roses and green spider mums.

Three centerpieces were done in different sizes:  small, medium and tall. We paired the tall with the small and left the bigger one stand alone.

Along the way, we created another style in addition to the request. We put red Anthurium who in some way have orangish color and small green spray chrysanthemum to replace green spider mums.

Looking again at those photos above, I am thinking of adding some yellow to that arrangement. It would be perfect for one of my close friend who likes combinations of hot pink and yelllow. She loves spider mums too :-).

Mockup for a lovely couple from Jakarta

Another mock up for a lovely couple from Jakarta.

We made two kinds of bouquets reusing the same flowers but following  a different style. One has accents of a garden style, more rustic, jumbling feelings while the other is more settled and calm. They are both equally cute and adorable. It depends on what style of wedding you and your partner would like.

Though flower arrangement is mostly women territory, you can still ask your future husband opinion in this matter. After all, I guess most men will go along with their wife on flowers matter...

As mentioned above, basically we use the same flowers on both bouquets. The first one is made of purple roses, pink roses, blue hydrangea, green hydrangea, pink lisianthus (Eustoma), green dewdrop and ruscus leaves. We got the inspiration by another florist and reinterpreted it .

We removed the green hydrangeas and lisianthus and kept the other elements, mixing them with more roses, blue hydrangeas and ruscus leaves.

We created two boutonnieres to go along with the bouquet. I guess I should have twisted the end of the corsage stem so that it will not appear so straight and stiff. Well, let’s make a note for the next time…

We also produced different dinner centerpieces samples. Below are the samples that we have made among others. Using varied glass vases and jars, we planned to have three sets of dinner centerpieces different from one table to the other.

For this flower arrangement, we still used pink & purple roses, green & blue hydrangeass, green dewdrop and ruscus leaves as well as white aster, light pink & purple chrysanthemums and burgundy local berries.
